Spirit of Texas sets New World Record!
Marble Falls , Texas, August 15, 2010: The Spirit of Texas Top Fuel Hydro sets both the elapsed time record at 3.64 seconds and the world speed record at 255 miles per hour! With famed driver Scotty Lumbert at the wheel the David Kirkland entry ran quicker and faster in the 1000 foot course than any boat in history!
In the month of August the Spirit of Texas won the Southern Drag Boat Association (SDBA) race in Choteau, Oklahoma, and then the Lucas Oil Championship series race in Marble Falls , Texas. The win in Marble Falls also secured the SDBA hi-points championship for David Kirkland Racing!
